Raven and the tough winter
I spent a day with couple of ravens - one of the biggest passerines. This bird is a magnificent black feathered fellow with a strong neck and peak.
With such an impressive appearance raven has a part in many different myths and people have associated them with afterlife, world creation and many other interesting stories for ages.
I have to say for me raven always gives a good feeling of a big wild forest when you can hear the echo of their cawing.
This time the winter has been cruel with the temperatures below -20 degrees Celsius. But looks like the ravens are hanging on!
